"Butterfly Revolutions" (Vol. 1 & Vol. 2) is an ambitious two-part concept album by the Chicago indie-psychedelic trio The Luck of Eden Hall.
Both parts were released successively on compact disc throughout 2011 (via Myopic Records), becoming the band's magnum opus.
Band leader Gregory Curvey and his collaborators have created a two-volume set that sounds like a tribute to the great era of the 1960s, but is produced and presented with the powerful energy of late 20th- and early 21st-century alternative rock.
The press has often compared the sound of "Butterfly Revolutions" to the works of The Zombies, The Byrds, early Pink Floyd, Love, as well as the melancholic baroque rock of Radiohead and Sparklehorse.
