The French acoustic jazz ensemble EYM Trio, comprising pianist Elie Dufour, double bassist Yann Phayphet, and drummer Marc Michel, marks over twelve years of collaboration and more than 400 international concert performances. The group's creative approach is centered around a contemporary "nomad jazz" concept, featuring arrangements heavily influenced by the diverse musical heritages encountered during their global tours. This philosophy of spontaneous performance and open boundary exploration is documented in their independent side project, "Nomad' Sessions," a YouTube web series showcasing the trio performing in unconventional settings with minimal technical equipment.
