Sailing Stones - Slow Magic (2026) [Hi-Res]

The project "Slow Magic" by singer-songwriter Jenny Lindfors, performing under the moniker Sailing Stones, is a conceptual album consisting of 12 psychedelic and poetic tracks. The central theme of the release is matrescence—the profound psychological and emotional process of a woman's transition into motherhood. Recorded partly at home and partly in a chapel-turned-studio in Wales, the album was entirely self-produced by the artist, with haunting arrangements crafted by her partner, composer Dan Moore. Drawing textural and emotional inspiration from Joni Mitchell, David Axelrod, The Electric Prunes, and Jefferson Airplane, the project blends hazy woodwinds, warm guitars, and analog electronics saturated with tape reverb, assigning each song to a distinct color palette of human emotions.
