Chris Murphy - Songs from the Trees (2026) [Hi-Res]

On July 3, 2026, world-renowned American violinist and composer Chris Murphy releases his new album "Songs From The Trees" via Teahouse Records. The title track, recorded as a power trio in Dartmoor National Park alongside British folk star Seth Lakeman and engineer Josiah J. Manning, offers a cinematic blend of sweeping fiddle lines, banjo, mandolin, and intimate, near-spoken vocals. Described by the artist as a "live film score," Murphy's music is steeped in themes of wandering, myth, and emotional tension. The album release coincides with a UK venue tour and the musician's multifaceted performances at the Maverick Festival, where he appears across all stages. Concurrently, the prolific artist continues to develop his secondary project under the Seven Crows moniker.
