Ammoye - Baby I Love You So (2026)

Ammoye, a Toronto-based singer with Jamaican roots, is touring Europe this summer, performing at major festivals including Reggae Jam and Ostroda Reggae Festival. She gained recognition through her collaboration with Dubmatix on the track «Push» (2009) and has consistently advanced her career over many years, working with the Hamburg-based label Echo Beach. Her new album «Baby I Love You So» serves as a comprehensive retrospective of all her work for the label, showcasing the full range of her vocal abilities.
The project features reimagined cover versions of classic songs by artists such as Randy Newman, Bill Withers, Otis Redding, and Grace Jones, all reinterpreted through Soul, R'n'B, and Reggae styles. The album's centerpiece is a collaboration with Black Oak Roots Allstars and aDUBta — a revitalized take on Jacob Miller's «Baby I Love You So». The quality of the project reflects the involvement of respected producers and musicians like aDUBta, The Senior Allstars, and Rob Smith, who go beyond mere imitation to introduce fresh creative perspectives. The album demonstrates both Ammoye's vocal mastery and contemporary approaches to reimagining classics.
