This is a contemporary chamber musical that fuses the ancient epic with a folk-pop score that earned its creators the Richard Rodgers Award. The lead role is played by Broadway actress Grace McLean, whose performance the New York Times called "phenomenal." The recording was captured live at Joe's Pub, New York's storied venue for chamber and experimental musical theater. The music and lyrics were written by Alex Bechtel, who also co-wrote the show's book with Grace McLean and Eva Steinmetz.
