Kronomakia is an incredibly original, bold, and eclectic collaborative album released in 2008 by Italian multi-instrumentalist Daniele Sepe, his jazz group Und Rote Jazz Fraktion, and the renowned early music ensemble Ensemble Micrologus.

The album's title, translated from Greek, means "Battle with Time" (Chronos = time, Machia = battle), perfectly capturing the essence of this musical clash of eras.

Kronomakia is more than just an attempt to "modernize" early music. It is a full-fledged, conceptual, and at times ironic dialogue between the strict medieval tradition and the rebellious spirit of contemporary jazz, rock, and the avant-garde.
