Ulrika Spacek - EXPO, REMIXED (2026) [Hi-Res]

British band Ulrika Spacek are releasing EXPO, REMIXED, a reworked version of their previous album EXPO, out July 31st via Full Time Hobby. Rather than simply reissuing the material, the band handed individual sound layers from their tracks to a group of artists they admire and feel a stylistic kinship with, inviting them to build their own versions from these "blocks of sound." Contributors include members of YHWH Nailgun, caroline, and Good Sad Happy Bad, along with experimental veterans Able Noise and more eaze, each bringing their own interpretation to the source material. According to the band, a few months after EXPO's release felt like the right moment to open up these sound layers to others for reinterpretation — the result forms a kind of parallel, alternate version of the album, with each remix reflecting exactly what drew Ulrika Spacek to these artists in the first place. The band notes that they usually work in a fairly closed, inward-looking way, making this kind of collaboration an unusual and refreshing contrast to their normal creative process.
