Dark Horses is a compilation of acoustic versions of a number of my songs that are favourites of mine but didn't necessarily light up the charts. I chose one track from each of my eleven albums of original material and re-performed them in my living room, unaccompanied. This presents the songs in their rawest form, boiled right down to their essence.
It felt good to put a little emphasis on some of these tunes that have always meant a lot to me but didn't get much attention. Thanks to those of you out there who have appreciated these dark horses over the years.
The old photos in the album jacket are a cross section of my ancestors, many of whom inspired a lot of these songs. I touch on my family's history often in my writing, and I'm fortunate to have quite a colourful cast of characters to draw from.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy the record. See ya down the trail.
