Chateau - Sometimes We Wander (2026)

The UK-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Henry Smith launched his solo project, Chateau, to showcase a unique, self-produced sound. Following his tenure in Manchester garage and indie bands, Smith recorded the new album Sometimes We Wander in the privacy of his own bedroom. This collection of songs reflects his personal philosophy of navigating life with nonchalance and spontaneity. To capture a distinct, sun-baked aesthetic, Smith collaborated with engineer Borja Regueira at Glue Recording Studios. They utilized analogue equipment and a vintage 1970s tape machine to preserve the intimate, lo-fi atmosphere of the original bedroom recordings. The name Chateau serves as a fitting title for this project, highlighting the cozy and creative spirits that guided the recording journey.
