Ten Ways is the second album by the Swedish band Masque, originally released in 1994 by the cult French prog label Musea Records and subsequently reissued in expanded versions. Unlike many acts of the 1990s Scandinavian scene (such as Änglagård or Anekdoten), Masque took a more melodic, stylistically eclectic direction at the intersection of neo-prog, new wave, and art rock.
The album marks a departure from the 1980s clichés present on the band's debut, Flesh That Understands (1991). On Ten Ways, the band focused on compact yet profoundly dramatic compositions with a focus on emotional lyrics, memorable hooks, and a melancholic, understated atmosphere.
Expanded editions (Reissue) are traditionally supplemented with bonus tracks: demo recordings, alternative versions and archival live performances from the mid-90s.
