Versailles - Don giovanni (1992)

Don Giovanni is the second album by the French band Versailles, released four years after the successful debut, Le Trésor de Vallières. The record cemented the band's status as prominent successors to the traditions of French theatrical art rock, offering more mature, dramatic, and conceptually coherent material.

The album is inspired by the classic legend of Don Juan, reflected in the expressive, almost operatic, and dramatic delivery of vocalist Guillaume Delacroix.

The compositions are in the vein of Ange, Mona Lisa, and Atoll, where rock drama is closely intertwined with poetic French vocals and a dark, fairytale-like atmosphere.
