Spirit Mother - Thistle (2026) [Hi-Res]

With their third studio album, Thistle, due to be released on Sound of Liberation Records on 4 September, Spirit Mother departs the trail and sets down roots in the vast, lonely expanse of Eastern Oregon’s high desert outback.

Written, self-recorded and produced in the creaking wooden attic of Armand and SJ’s century-old cabin, the music is a direct and genuine reflection of their life and surroundings over the past year. Hear the pre-industrial timber floor and walls breathe life into each song.

Feel the blistering desert sun rise and fall across the obsidian-encrusted sagebrush prairie. While their last album, Trails, hints at future sonic leanings, Thistle brings the band's fully realised sound to fruition.

Spirit Mother’s dynamic yet relentless approach to rock 'n' roll, with its fuzz and grunge leanings, is engulfed in the Americana melancholy of the ghost town that is their home.
