Prince Far I - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Chapter 3 (1980)

The British dub series Cry Tuff Dub Encounter executed a exceptionally rare musical experiment by bridging two contrasting scenes — dub / reggae and free improvised music. Multi-instrumentalists and avant-garde figures Steve Beresford and David Toop enriched the classic reggae foundation with unconventional sonic elements, including toy synthesizer accents reminiscent of Lee "Scratch" Perry's wild recording sessions. This collaboration proved to be a highly compelling synthesis of experimental free improvisation and heavy dub rhythm, highlighted by standout compositions such as "Shake the Nation," "Low Gravity," and "Homeward Bound."
