Odelet - Soul Obscura (2026) Hi Res

Odelet is a multidisciplinary artist born in Detroit, Michigan, but currently based on the US West Coast. She is not only a singer-songwriter but also a producer who writes and performs nearly all the instrumentation on her recordings. Her experimental music videos have been selected for screening at over 50 film festivals worldwide and have won numerous awards.

The album *Soul Obscura* continues two strands of her work: soul-oriented recordings where Odelet plays almost all the instruments herself, and a series inspired by 1970s dub. The project began as an experimental dub session featuring drums by Larry Crane, upon which Odelet built a jazz-infused recording.

The album’s sound reflects influences ranging from 1970s and 80s synthesizers, classic pop melodies, and R&B hooks to echoes of 1970s sci-fi soundtracks.
