Ergot Project - Beat-less (2016)

"Beat-Less" is the debut studio album by the Italian experimental music collective Ergot Project, released in February 2016. The record is a conceptual tribute album consisting of radically deconstructed and completely reimagined cover versions of iconic Beatles songs.

Despite the ironic title "Beat-less," the powerful rhythm section is one of the record's main strengths. The Liverpool foursome's melodies are recognizable, but they are couched in a dark, personal, and experimental form at the intersection of heavy electro-prog, progressive rock, and electronica.
