Denver Venoit - Tobacco & Tear's (2026)

Canadian musician Denver Venoit, performing under the moniker Ole Man Kidd, originally hails from The Yukon and began his music career as a touring drummer. A tragic personal loss—the death of his best friend in a house fire in Montreal—served as a turning point that directed him toward writing folk, country, and blues songs. Years of roving across North America, from the Yukon tundra and the Mojave desert to working as a bison ranch hand on the Saskatchewan plains, shaped his distinct performance style. Utilizing bottleneck slide techniques on his steel guitar, Ole Man Kidd crafts a sepia-toned, nostalgic sound steeped in emotional honesty, personal history, and nomadic longing.
