Voyage (1982) marks the return of the cult krautrock/psychedelic band Brainticket after a lengthy hiatus following the release of the concept album Adventure (1977). On this record, the project's creator and mastermind, Joel Vandroogenbroeck, seamlessly transitioned from the psychedelic rock of the 1970s to the more synthesizer-driven, cosmic, and meditative sounds of the 1980s. The album is a monolithic electronic-acoustic immersion, combining classic krautrock motorik pulse, trance-like ethno percussion, and spatial synthesizer backdrops.
