Voyager - Act Of Love (1980)

Act Of Love (1980) is the second studio album by the British band Voyager, led by vocal keyboardist and composer Paul Vincent Wood. Released at the turn of the decade, the album captured a fascinating transitional period in British rock: the transformation of the large-scale symphonic prog of the 1970s into the more concise, melodically focused art pop and nascent neo-prog of the 1980s (along with the early work of bands like The Buggles, City Boy, and Rupert Hine). Recorded at Mountain Studios in Switzerland, the album offers an impeccable balance between commercial radio appeal and sophisticated progressive arrangements.
