Pianist Peter Jablonski joins the Gävle Symphony Orchestra and their new chief conductor Christian Reif to shine a spotlight on two forgotten treasures of Nordic music. This album brings back to life the beautifully crafted piano concertos of Swedish composer Melcher Melchers (1882–1961), works full of elegance, warmth, and Romantic spirit.

Long overlooked, Melchers’s concertos reveal a composer with a distinctive voice—refined, expressive, and deeply musical. Jablonski’s performances, paired with the orchestra’s vibrant sound, offer listeners a rare chance to discover these remarkable pieces anew.
