Eivør - Tungl (2026) [Hi-Res]

Renowned Faroese singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Eivør Pálsdóttir—celebrated globally for her acclaimed work on the soundtrack to the hit series "The Last Kingdom"—returns with her twelfth studio album, "TUNGL", meaning "moon" in Faroese. Teaming up with musical contributors including Tróndur Bogason, Mikael Blak, Birita Dam, and her sister Elinborg, the artist crafts a deeply cinematic, transcendent sonic journey.

Drawing inspiration from medieval Faroese chain-dance rituals, rugged Nordic landscapes, and cosmic themes, the record effortlessly bridges ancient folklore with modern electronica. Blending elements of trip-hop, neofolk, and avant-garde poptronica—echoing the visionary artistry of Björk, Massive Attack, and Bat For Lashes—the album moves seamlessly between ethereal Faroese-language anthems and introspective English tracks. Driven by striking shamanic frame drums, sweeping orchestral strings, delicate piano arrangements, and haunting vocal prowess, "TUNGL" delivers an unbridled exploration of darkness, hope, and emotional catharsis.
