Peter Richard Conte - Peter Richard Conte Live at the Cathedral (2026) [Hi-Res]

On the evening of April 13, 2010, Peter Richard Conte gave a compelling and memorable performance, as one of six recitalists to perform in recital at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York, in celebration of the restoration of the Cathedral’s Great Organ, following a devastating fire in December 2008. Portions of Mr. Conte’s April 2010 appearance were seen in the Pro Organo video program “From Ashes to Glory.” Now, in 2026, Pro Organo is pleased to release Mr. Conte’s complete recital program as a digital streaming and download product. The program features Mr. Conte’s organ solo transcriptions of the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar, and Brunhilde’s Immolation Scene from Richard Wagner’s opera Gotterdammerung. Also on the program are the opening number, Tuba Tune by Norman Cocker, and the complete Passion Symphony by Marcel Dupré. The album is expected to be available at all popular streaming and download platforms by December 1, 2016.
