Disc 1 is shite, lots of digital clicks and skipping. Disc 2 verifies with AccurateRip, while disc 3 isn't recognized, but sounds ok on first listen.

This performance requires us concentration even in dances.
Still best period Solo Violin is Enrico Onofri (just 3 works) for me.
My best modern is by Lara Lev (Apex, lowest price CDs), someone rip and post please :)

For what it's worth, I have never before heard a "24 bit" stream on my high end system. (Software does see it as 24 bit, though corrupted).

I compared the "stream"(?) to the 16 bit version here. To my moderate surprise, I preferred by a moderate, but consistent amount the 16 bit PCM.

Ironically what I preferred is what I usually prefer in 24 bit over 16: the cd version had more depth, sound staging & was smoother. I still feel it's a major shame that EMI didn't release a true 24 bit edition; though both the full Sgt Pepper's & Lennon Imagine came out in 24 bit after the cd release, so cross your fingers.

My suggestion is if you have the bandwidth, get both versions & see what you think; if you don't I definitely prefer the 16 bit over the stream.
