Demons & Wizards is the brain-child of two power metal icons: Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer and Blind Guardian’s Hansi Kuersch. Their second common album saw the light of day in 2005 and shows once again that Schaffer and Kuersch are not only good friends but also musical soul-mates. You can hear Schaffer’s handwriting in his riffs and the hymnic vocals by Kuersch force you to raise your fist in the air. While the title-track combines prog and thrash, “Love’s Tragedy Asunder” simply grabs you. In 2019, Zeuss (Iced Earth, Overkill, Queensryche) remixed the album and made it even more crushing!
