Aarón Flores (Mexico City, 1984) began his studies in the Cycle of Musical Initiation of the National School of Music. He studied the Bachelor in Jazz at the School of Music and currently writes a thesis on narrativity and improvisation in the Postgraduate in Musicology of the School of Music of the UNAM.
He has released three albums as a leader: Loto (2014), which was selected as the album of the year in the current edition of the Arts in Mexico by La Tempestad Magazine; Other city prints (2014) resulting from his work as a fellow of the Young Creators program of the FONCA in the period 2013-2014; and Nova Insula (2018) together with Federico Hülsz, Benjamín García and Hernán Hecht.
He is part of the groupings: T'orus, Hernán Hecht X-Pression Quartet, National Jazz Orchestra, Ascent Bay, Juan Ale Saenz Quartet and Christian Balderas Sexteto, among others; and since 2012 belongs to the staff of teachers of the Jazz Academy of the Superior School of Music INBA.
