Elixir - Sabbat (Reissue) (1986/2009)

French outfit ELIXIR was formed in the mid 1980's, and were amongst the first artists to be released by then newly formed enthusiast label MUSEA REcords when their debut LP Sabbat was released in 1986. A series of line-up alterations would follow before Elixir stabilized agaion. The single Regard appeared in 1988, issued for promotional purposes, and this was soon followed by the full length production Indifference in 1989. Elixir ceased to exist shortly after this however, for reasons unknown.

In 1999 Christian Marischal, the sole remaining original member at this point, decided to give this project a second go. It did take some time to find a stable and consistent line-up, but by 2005 the band had stabilized, and the EP Portraits would appear the following year.

Since then Elixir have been working on a new full length album, Voyageur. At first planned for a 2008 release, later announced to be forthcoming in 2010. The status for this production and the band itself is at the time of being unknown.
