Robert Gast is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer living north of Hamburg/Germany. In 1978 he played and recorded his first composition for grandpiano and drums with the legendary TEAC Portastudio 144. The following highschool years he played drums as a member of different jazz- and rockbands, keyboards with a progressive Jazz-Fusion Trio and the piano with his hometown bigband. In 1986 Robert released his very first Album “SELFMADE -a momentary review“ copied individually to MC. The first CD-Album “Extended Experience“ from 1996 is a one-shot full MIDI-SETUP - It has now been remastered by the fantastic Scott Hull from Masterdisk, NY. In 1999 he moved to the country-side and Seefeld-Studio was set up. 2000 his album “Seefeld News” was released. Studio mixings and productions include 2001 Dieter Geike´ s “Blonker“ “Straight ahead“ and the last three CD-albums of the Rolling Stones Tribute Band “STONE“, which he has been part of and performed since 2005.
2016 was the right time to collect all stories from the past years in his album EVOLON.

2018 – two years of live, which I collected into the „ In Between The Times“ Album.

2019 – my last album was born: „It´s Called Mood“ tells some personal stories of my live in the year 2019. And, new: I played and recorded all the drums by myself, no more superior-drummer pattern programming. The combination of the Gretsch Catalina Club Set with Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Cymbals sounds great! Enjoy !
