Sean Sanby - Out of the Candlelight (2020)

Sean is excited to share his debut album “Out of the Candlelight”. This album features all original compositions with a mix of jazz & afro-jazz. Sean’s unique writing style takes influence from South African musicians such as Moses Mololekwa, Bheki Mseleku to more modern bands Snarky Puppy, as well as classical and soundtrack music.

Sean sextet features, Jesse Julies on Tenor Saxophone, Muneeb Hermans on Trumpet, Bradley Prince on Guitar, Brathew van Schalkwyk on Piano, himself on Bass and Damian Kamineth on Drums. All upcoming talent in the jazz and music industry in South Africa.

“I’ve always been drawn to music, I find it has the potential to hold more meaning than just notes that are played. With my music I try to tell a story or convey a feeling and in that way I see this album as a collection of short stories.
