The records were mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed by Furnace MFG by their German partner Pallas Group (who are well known for producing ultra-premium vinyl pressings that are flat, clean, and are virtually silent during playback) on 180g vinyl. Furnace MFG handled the packaging of the LPs and the box, lovingly recreating the cover art and gold-foil-stamping the serial number on each. In the case of the Harvest LP, they located the last manufacturer in the US that can still make hand-glued gatefold covers to carefully reproduce the original cover. For all the LPs, they tracked down the original paper sources for the original inserts, and where it didn't exist anymore they had it specially milled. There's an insane amount of detail involved in this set.

Tom Biery, General Manager of Warner Bros. Records and vinyl enthusiast commented: “In all my years of working vinyl releases, I was shocked at just how incredible these Neil Young re-masters sound. There is no doubt in my mind that when listening to these recordings on the new, upgraded vinyl format, it will be as close as anyone will audibly come to actually being in the studio listening to the original master tapes. It now sounds as if you are in the room with Neil during the session.”
