This third new work by TANGO NEGRO TRIO, centered on the fascinating, complex and indomitable personality of Juan Carlos Caceres, composer, pianist and trombonist from Argentina living in Paris since 1968 where he teaches art and paints in his atelier.
No Me Rompas Las Bolas for Caceres represents the natural evolution of the TANGO NEGRO TRIO project, started few years ago, with the aim of promoting an inedited repertoire of the music from the Rio de la Plata region; tango, milonga, habanera, murga and candombe represent the most widespread musical expressions of Buenos Aires and Montevideo urban culture’s musical expressions. Accompanied as usual by the talented Marcelo Russillo on percussions and Carlos “el tero” Buschini at the bass, coauthor of some tracks on the CD, in this work Caceres together with a wide selection of new compositions offers us some key tracks of his repertoire (long time not available on the musical market) in a new and fresher version. Forgotten rhythms are suggested with new sounds, while their milonguera essence still characterizes the sound of the band.
All out of the ordinary are the guests and the artists that collaborated with TANGO NEGRO TRIO. Starting with the saxophonist Javier Girotto (Aires Tango, Peppe Servillo, Enrico Rava), who worked with TANGO NEGRO TRIO in the previous CD; David Pecetto, Oliver Manoury, Alejandro Caraballo, Martin Bruhn, Natalio Mangalvite and above all the unmistakable and distinguishing presence of Daniel Melingo as narrator of various fascinating tracks of the CD.
With No Me Rompas Las Bolas TANGO NEGRO TRIO, proves to be one of the most important and original group of the contemporary urban tango Nuevo unplugged.
