Miguel Ángel Gil - Grooveland (Master Session) (2020)

Miguel A. Gil is a self-taught bassist and double bass player from Malaga. His band is immersed in the presentation of his album "Grooveland: The Master Session", in which he exploits the qualities of the electric bass as a companion and as a "solo" instrument.

The variety of instruments that make up the group is very interesting because it provides a diverse palette of "colors", ideal for creating different soundscapes. Colors that move from the atmospheres created by the intensity of the funky themes "Snap High" or "This Garrett", to the sound environments of ballads like "Vero's walk", sambas like the one dedicated to the saxophonist Ernesto Aurignac, much swing, and a variety of styles such as the wonderful flamenco medley for solo bass.
