Peter Uher - New Reality (2021)

Composer and guitarist Peter Uher has gone through various genres in his musical life. He started as a metalhead, then was a rocker, worked at the conservatory on classical guitar, and during high school studied and played jazz standards. However, he gradually became interested in groove music, jazz rock and various psychodelic music. Peter Uher once said: "Music is a philosophy of life for me and at the same time a means of expression. It completely engulfs me. I am constantly in the process of listening, creating, improvising, etc.… In addition, I am a teacher at the conservatory, part-time. "

The fact that it does not start even during the pandemic period is also evidenced by the fact that Prešov guitarist Peter Uher releases his solo album - New Reality. The music is carried out on an experimental level with an emphasis on groove, improvisation and musical motifs, which enrich the traditional jazz-rock genre with catchy and straightforward melodies. The composition is connected by ambient elements, which complete the sound of the album and at the same time are an integral part of it. In addition to the head of Patro Uher, who plays the guitar, the band also includes Braňo Valanský on bass guitar and Michal Čerevka on percussion instruments. And there are also guests: trumpeter Jakob Sørensen from Denmark and Slovak saxophonist Nikola Bankov.
