“Night and Day” is a popular song by Cole Porter. It was written for the 1932 musical play Gay Divorce. It is perhaps Porter’s most popular contribution to the Great American Songbook and has been recorded by dozens of artists.

In 1990 Irish band U2 recorded the song for the compilation album Red Hot + Blue the first in the series of compilation albums from the Red Hot Organization. The Red Hot series was dedicated to fighting AIDS through pop culture.

U2 released the song as a promotional 12″ single in the UK limited numbered edition of 5000 - For Promotional Use Only - Not For Resale.
