After the split of his band Bazo Grey in 2019, Michael Forde decided to continue his musical journey as a solo artist. While collaboration is necessary for the style of music he wishes to create and the vibe he desires to develop within his records, Forde will mix and master his music himself from his modest home studio. With his latest record “Goodbye Peaches”, slated to be released in early 2022, Forde sought out some of his favorite musicians from the Atlanta music scene to play on half of the tunes. Forde has a deep love and appreciation for improvised music and the Atlanta music scene is thriving with talented improv centric musicians. "Goodbye Peaches" is heavily inspired by both the UK Jazz scene and the Fripp/Eno collaboration albums. The first single, “Looking Out the Window with a Smile”, was released on August 21st, 2021.

Some musical influences as of late: Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, David Bowie, Marvin Gaye, Brian Eno. Guitar Influences: Pat Metheny, John Frusciante, David Gilmour, Sean Angus Watson, Julian Lage, George Benson, Robert Fripp. Other Influences: The Hobbit (book), Victor Wooten's "The Music Lesson", Seinfeld, Twin Peaks, Stanley Kubrick films, 80s horror films. Forde’s main goal for music in the years to come is to listen to what music has to offer him and share that with the world.
