We dedicate this album to the memory of Frank Zappa. Igor Stravinsky – Fanfare for a New Theatre was composed in 1964 to commemorate the opening of the New York State Theater, at Lincoln Center. This short work is an excellent example of the composers ability to use polyrhythmic figures while remaining true to the twelve-tone row chosen for this piece…..
