The Cee Pee Vee Record Co. has provided us with another spectacular example of the blues coming out of Sweden. Urban Allstars was born from the fertile blues territory of the band Blues Down Town featuring Thomas Grahn playing harmonica (and singing too) and Claes Parmland on guitar. Fredrik von Werder plays piano on "Loitering On The West Side" and is also in the great blues band, Trickbag.

Urban Allstars is a super group that will attract the ears of blues lovers world-wide. The sound is right in-the-pocket Chicago blues; it whisks you away from a chilly landscape and sits you down on a chair located squarely on Maxwell Street. The playing is oh so good ... just gimme a shot of Jack, a case of beer and these guys.
