In September I have the pleasure to release my new orchestral work for a Jazz Symphonic Orchestra: the album “We Have a Dream”, featuring some of the best musicians I know!
Although both the classical orchestral and jazz traditions are strongly present in the music, I wanted to create a work that breaks down the “invisible wall” between classical and jazz musicians, bringing them together and finding new ways of collaborating and interacting. The whole process created a new relationship and hierarchy between composer, conductor, musicians and written music and showed that an orchestra can be an inspiring example of people working together!
