Sam Levin is a California drummer, a former student of Pete Magadini, from whom he learned his interest in polyrhythm, which still influences his playing technique and compositions. He has performed with Elysian Fields, Stuart Bogie's Superhuman Happiness, Wayne Krantz, Jean Michel-Pilc and Ari Hoenig. During the pandemic, he moved to Tychy, discovered the local jazz scene in Katowice, which resulted in founding Sam Levin Trio and recording the first album of this formation - Another Brooklyn.

The band consists of Sam Levin (drums), Jakub Mizeracki (guitar) and Mateusz Szewczyk (double bass). Both Polish musicians are recognized figures in the jazz community. with Leszek Możdżer, Paweł Tomaszewski and Billy Cobham. The album Another Brooklyn is part of the modern jazz trend while being inspired by rock music. The trio puts a lot of emphasis on groove. He also does not shy away from team improvisation.

The album was created and recorded entirely in Upper Silesia.
