While Bargel evokes the atmosphere of a run-down juke joint in the rural Mississippi Delta, the sound of 'Major' Heuser's guitars transforms the juke joint into one of the nation's great rock halls within seconds. It all happens within just one song - and it works!

That it works is due to the congenial interplay of two fundamentally different guitarists, to their ability not to put their own personality and virtuosity in the foreground, but the joy of playing together, of making music itself. Both musicians can look back on a long career and have each achieved legendary status in their own field. They no longer have anything to prove to themselves or to anyone else.
