Grant Chatman - Strangers (2023)

Creating a bold Post-Grunge sound, Grant Chatman eases into the Alternative genre as a drummer, songwriter, guitarist and singer. His music is influenced by the likes of Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and American Football. His raw and shadowy lyrics atop melodic riffs form his natural, heartfelt sound.

From cold, sunless caves of sadness, Grant Chatman gives life to soft lullabies and dark riffs. Raised in the small town of Squamish, B.C., Grant grew up listening to such bands as Led Zeppelin and Rush. He first took the stage at age five when he played an AC/DC cover at a school talent show. After a few years on drums, Grant picked up the guitar and taught himself to play the Nirvana anthology. It was from there that he began to write his own original material.

At age 11, Grant formed the cover band Kings of Sound with friend Von Derrick. The band performed several outdoor gigs covering music by such bands as Green Day, The White Stripes and Foo Fighters. Eventually, he ended the project and formed a band with local musician, Ryder Leigh. He now plays with local band Soul Train.

His first single Cavity was released on June 6, 2021, accompanied by his debut EP Daymoods on August 16, 2021.
