Palm Skin Productions - Trickle Up - EP (2023)

Palm Skin Productions – AKA versatile musician, producer, and DJ Simon Richmond – announces this new four-track EP with title track, ‘Trickle Up’, an acid-tinged dancefloor stomper and revolutionary call to arms against trickle down economics.

“Trickle Up” is the latest follow up to Palm Skin Productions’ album ‘Other Times’, an instrumental beat-tape built around a collection of scatter-burst ideas that flow as a unified body of work. Praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson (WWFM), Huey Morgan (BBC 6Music) and Andrew Jervis (Bandcamp Weekly), the record was inspired by Simon's daily obsession with sea-swimming. ‘Other Times’ was preceded by the powerfully emotive “The Sword Will Die”– an eleven-minute immersion that melds pastoral piano, mid-tempo drums, pulsing organic techno influences and bucolic ambient texture, Simon’s debut release on Tru Thoughts.
