"An ace band that churns out a highly textured cinematic fusion of Arabic, Indian, Jazz, Blues, electronica, and rock. That list might make your head spin, but rest assured that Jaffa Road’s thoughtful, beautifully crafted music will not."

Our 2012 release, Where The Light Gets In, won Best World Music Album at the 2013 Canadian Folk Music Awards and resulted in our second Juno award nomination.

This album features our original chant for healing, "Ana El Na" (composed by Aaron Lightstone, Aviva Chernick & Chris Gartner), which has become popular for group singing in Jewish summer camps, schools and communities across North America. It features Aviva Chernick (vocals), Aaron Lightstone (oud, guitars, saz, synthesizers), Chris Gartner (basses, soundscapes), Sundar Viswanathan (sax, bansuri, Fender Rhodes, vocals), and Jeff Wilson (Middle Eastern & Latin percussion); with special guests Yair Dalal (violin, composition), Amir Amiri (santoor) Aaron Bensoussan (vocals), and Michael Rennie (vocals & violin).
