Here comes the second solo album from Cymbals Eat Guitars frontman Joseph D’Agostino. He has switched his songwriting from autobiographical to a more fiction-based approach to his lyrics in the process. 'Empty Country II' expands on his debut and features dance music, cosmic jazz and Philadelphia soul influences. The highlight though, could well be 'David' - a tribute to the late David Berman.
