Maki Mae's follow up to her acclaimed Seasonal Songbook is the stunning new crossover album Down By The Water. Guests include Robby Krieger, Chicago drummer, Danny Seraphine, and Hiro Yamamoto of Soundgarden fame.

On her new album, Down By the Water, Maki Mae showcases her collaborative skills with renowned artists such as Robby Krieger of the Doors, Danny Seraphine of Chicago fame, Soundgarden's Hiro Yamamoto, and Earth, Wind & Fire drummer, John Paris. The album was produced at Robby Krieger's Studio and mixed by Bruce Sugar, known for his work with Ringo Starr.

Throughout Maki's career, the versatile artist who is skilled in vocals, concert piano, and classical violin, has taken the spotlight at major events and venues, including America's Got Talent, Special Olympics World Games, EDC Las Vegas, and Burning Man. While she is known for her virtuoso performances covering a range of genres from classical to jazz, pop, and alternative rock, it was her 2013 remix of Skrillex's "Kyoto" which held the No. 1 spot for five weeks on ReverbNation's electronic charts that first turned heads.

Having debuted at the Taiwan National Recital Hall at the age of 15, Maki, with a degree from Johns Hopkins University, pursued studies at the Peabody Conservatory and received training at the San Francisco Opera House. Currently serving as the President and CEO of the Asian Hall of Fame and CEO of the Robert Chinn Foundation, she brings a global cultural perspective to her roles and is actively involved in various committees, including the Recording Academy Advocacy Committee, Congressional Artistic Discovery Committee, ADL LA Regional Board, and has been recognized as a California State Senate Woman of the Year.
