This might be one of the best albums. This one has got me absolutely fucking spellbound, and the shoegaze-y wall of sound makes the album feel like it uses the whole spectrum of sound to its full potential. Each song of Wetdream was an emotional rollercoaster in itself, and the transitions between the soft, melancholy sounds and the passionate, hard-hitting sounds were wonderfully done. The album as a whole can be described as 'jarring' in the best possible sense.
A few songs in the album may utilize similar chord progressions and styles, but this did not really have an impact on my listening experience personally, as each song flowed beautifully regardless, and the instrumentation of each track clearly demonstrates original pieces of work.
The vocals also display a sort of signature shoegaze sound, and the distortion only enhanced the immersion that this album had, like a sort of ambient noise that's both hard hitting and nostalgic, while lyrically diving into more sensitive topics that hit just as hard as the instrumental.
