Lutruwita/Tasmania's best kept secret is about to be exposed - these 9 beloved dads have been bringing rock and soul all across the Apple Isle for years and are now looking to spread their spirits across the nation & beyond. The Bad Dad Orchestra begin their quest with the release of their debut album Makin' Me Wild, live on all digital platforms today.

Several years in the making, Makin' Me Wild' is the band's long-awaited debut studio album. Recorded, produced and mixed by the legendary John Castle in lutruwita/Tasmania, the album follows the recent release of the title track, "Makin' Me Wild", and singles "Callin' Me Now", and "Birds of Prey (feat. Julian Moss)".

Since establishing, The Bad Dad Orchestra have gratefully featured on some of Tasmania’s most popular festival line-ups, including Falls Festival, Party in the Paddock, Forth Valley Blues Festival, Junction Arts Festival, The Taste of Tasmania, Royal Eve, Festivale, The Great Huon Valley Festival, Bruny Island Blues & Roots Festival plus interstate appearances at Blues on Broadbeach, Girrakool, Caloundra & Queenscliff Music Festivals. The Bad Dad Orchestra also have a strong work ethic when it comes to writing and recording music; previously releasing 3 EPs – Self-Titled (2016), Go and Ask Your Mother (2017), and Viva Le Bad Dad’ (2019).

To celebrate their debut album, the dads will be packing up their bags and travelling across the country on tour. The band will be playing all the way up the east coast including multiple dates in Tasmania, Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney and will also be appearing at Gympie Muster & Blues on Broadbeach.
