Swansea born Casey Maunder has just released his second solo album Get Out And Push. The album boasts 10 tracks that are filled with energetic, sonic, melodic guitar, based rock’n’roll.

Opening with the power driven “Lately, Sarah Can’t See”. It’s a true rocking opener with a sing along chorus and delightful guitar solo. Some snazzy guitar work and an almost Poison like beat introduces “Hard Line”. You can just imagine Casey on stage commanding the audience.

Having been fortunate to chat with Casey recently, it is clear that catchy choruses and great melodies are important to Casey’s writing and he really does pull that off with this album.

Some may be familiar with the next track, previous single “Superman’s Dead”. Very catchy and in your face. The whole song fills the room due to the wonderful production work of James Weaver.

The amazing “Brooklyn In The Rain” is typical Casey Maunder. What a song, I love this one. Strong vocals guide you into a chorus will have you waving your arms in the air. “The Crow On The Branch” reveals the heavier side of Mr Maunder. Straddled with a mighty riff, “The Crow On The Branch” demands to be played loudly.

We are totally brought down to a calmer, more majestic pace with the beautiful “Methadone, My Soul”. This time the power is reserved for the chorus. The number ends with an alluring ‘Casey sing-along’ moment.

Back to the rocking style next with “Disgracefully Yours”, a song about taking someone as they are. Why should anyone be forced to change who they are because of someone else’s opinion. Similarly, “One More Stone In My Shoe” is basically telling the doubters and haters to go and do one.

”Bruises and Bloodstains“ again highlights the gentler side to Casey Maunder. It’s a reflective song about change and learning from mistakes. Another beautiful song that should be a single. I’d say that this is my favourite track on the album.

“Put Me On TV” closes the album. It’s a song about how some people will do anything for fame, no matter what the cost is.

Casey Maunder has followed the successful debut album, ‘Until Your Heart Stops Beating’, with another album that delivers high powered guitar riffs, superb vocal arrangements and a killer choruses. “Get Out And Push” is a great album filled with those special moments that make you want to listen to it again and again.

This is the best album I’ve had the pleasure to listen to this year.

Yet again South Wales shows the world how to make a truly great rock album in the form of Casey Maunder’s Get Out And Push

“Get Out And Push” is available on all streaming platforms from May 13th and you also will be able to get it on CD through either TIWN Media or by contacting Casy Maunder on his socials.
