Wacław Zimpel - Japanese Journal, Vol. 1 (2024)

Japanese Journal Vol.1 EP is an intimate sound diary of Wacław's trip to Japan in autumn 2023. It is a recollection of the places and people he met during that stay and a study into the practise of sound as the most primal and natural form of communication between people.

The final track, 'Jam with Bread', is an alto clarinet improvisation processed by Zimpel’s ever-evolving looper system, fed through sourdough bread starter (provided by Paradise Alley bakery, in Kamakura)
