The auditorium of the Cascais Cultural Center is hosting the launch of the first album by the Tejo Quartet.

Entitled "Tejo", the work presents refreshing and richly textured compositions, characterized by both traditional elements and foreign influences, accessible to a wider audience.

The event begins with a commented concert, where two Portuguese works from the debut album - Luís de Freitas Branco's String Quartet and Joly Braga Santos' Quartet in D - will be performed, followed by a moment of sharing with the audience about the artistic path and the recording process.

After four years of building and consolidating an artistic path, and playing at venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam or the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the album "Tejo" materializes Portugal's cultural heritage.

Quarteto tejo | With one foot on Portuguese soil and the other on foreign territory, this is a group made up of four young Portuguese musicians, whose formation and origin had as its mission the dissemination and promotion of Portuguese music in the national and international spheres.
