This innovative album fuses Kreyol jazz and gospel with a unique touch of poetry, offering a captivating blend of instrumentals and lyrics imbued with inspiring messages for youth.

Poésie en Musique is an ambitious work that explores the richness of musical traditions while introducing modern elements. The album features creative compositions and arrangements that showcase the talents of its guest artists, including Éric Bonheur (composition, guitars), Teddy Lapassion (drums), Mc Cain (bass), and members of The Cudjoe Brothers: Christoff (bass, composition), Carlos (drums, composition), and Travis Cudjoe (piano, composition).

The mixing was done by Julien Bassères and Louis “LeTreez” Lépine – only for the title Crabwood Street Theme, while DAMATSU took charge of the photography of the painting. The recording was supervised by Adam Antoniak and Hendy N’Guyen Van Dahn.

The album is distinguished by its main pieces such as ‘Love’, ‘Temps & Grains de Sable’, and ‘I’am’, which illustrate the diversity of influences and styles present throughout the work. The project was born from an artistic creation residency supported by the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Guyanese poet Pierre Appolinaire Stephenson, which contributed to its artistic and original dimension.

Keneisha Bissereth describes Poésie en Musique as “an original and innovative project”, while Hervé ‘HB KING’ Bissereth adds: “We wanted to create something truly unique, a bridge between poetry and music that resonates with our roots while bringing a new perspective.”
